Es wird im Beitrag der Frage nachgegangen, welches Potential für die Ausbildung von Studierenden und die Arbeit im RU darin entdeckt werden kann, wenn die Religionsphilosophie verstärkt als theologische Bezugsdisziplin der Religionspädagogik in Anspruch genommen wird. Wo die Religionspädagogik edukative Lernprozesse initiieren und gestaltet, kann die Religionsphilosophie eine interessante Gesprächspartnerin werden: Für kritische Lesarten religiöser Traditionen in ihrer aktuell-gesellschaftlichen Bedeutsamkeit, als Seismograf für relevante Fragestellungen und nicht zuletzt als Probierstein, um die eigenen theologischen Wissenskonzepte auf ihre Bewährung in einer post-säkularen Öffentlichkeit zu befragen. Where religious education initiates and shapes educational learning processes, philosophy of religion can become an interesting interlocutor: For critical inspirations and readings of religious traditions in their current social significance, as a seismograph for relevant questions and, last but not least, as a touchstone for questioning one's own theological concepts of knowledge for their probation in a post-secular public.
